Support the RLEF
-
Donations to the RLEF are essential to support BRLA and URLA environmental
programs. Membership dues do not cover all environmental program
costs.
-
Since 1991, the Foundation has raised over $200,000 which
has been devoted to such projects as water testing, bass tracking and displacement
study, loon and frog monitoring and contributing to the purchase
of water testing equipment and a Wastewater Garden demonstration.
-
We have also assisted in funding challenges to developments
which RLEF determined could adversely impact the environmental
quality of the lakes.
-
RLEF has created a reserve fund of approximately $40,000
which is intentionally being held back to fund a project or
opposition which requires more substantial financial resources.
Contributions are Tax Deductible
-
For individuals residing in Ontario, a combined federal/provincial
tax credit of approximately 33% of the value of the donation
can be deducted from taxable income (depending on applicable
surtaxes)
-
For corporate donors, up to 43% of the value of the donation
can be deducted
-
Tax credits can be deducted directly from taxes owing instead
of your taxable income
-
The more you give, the more you get back. You will receive
a federal tax credit equal to 17% of the first $200 you give
to registered charities in a taxation year but 29% for amounts
over that first $200.
-
Put RLEF on your holiday gift list! By donating before the
end of the year, you will get your tax savings twelve months
earlier than if you donate in the spring.
